History of C Language
C is a programming language developed at AT & T’s Bell Laboratories of USA in 1972. It was designed and written by Dennis Ritchie and Ken Thompson.
At first, UNIX was written on a PDP-7 and then shifted to a PDP-11 machine.Initially they used assembly language to write it and graduated to BCPL. Later, UNIX was re-implemented using C language. By 1972, most of the UNIX was written in C, it was given the name as it is the next level to language B.
The C programming tutorial is divided into 6 sections – Input/Output, C Data Related Topics, C Conditional Statements, C Loops, C Functions and C Pointers.
Each topic has many lessons and examples that you can practice and learn. Before you start practicing the example programs, read the instructions to install a compiler for C language.
Prerequisite to Learn C programming language
Absolutely no prior knowledge is required to learn C programming. However, you must know how to operate a computer to install a C compiler, write C source code and compile the a C program.
